I live in the beautiful spa town of Saint Gervais les Bains and work across all of the resorts that make up the Evasion Mont Blanc ski area. Whether you're here in the winter or summer, you can enjoy the natural beauty and alpine charm that this area offers. The whole area enjoys spectacular views of the Mont Blanc Massif and benefits from very easy access to Geneva airport (1 hour). There is also now the option of taking a direct train from Geneva to St Gervais-Le Fayet with the new Léman Express. The resort towns of Saint Gervais, Les Contamines, Combloux, Megève and La Giettaz offer 450km of pistes and make up the third largest ski area in France. We're spoilt for choice when it comes to winter sports activities with everything right on our doorstep. The downhill skiing spans from lovely wide green pistes for beginners to off-piste and everything in between. The resorts also offer a great selection of cross-country skiing, ice skating, snow shoeing or just relaxing in one of the many bars, cafes or excellent restaurants. We are also very lucky to have the Parc Thermal in Saint Gervais les Bains which houses the historic Thermal Baths. They have recently been completely refurbished and are a great option for resting tired muscles after a day's skiing! The historic Tramway de Mont Blanc (the highest railway in France) runs from the town of Saint Gervais and gives direct access to the neighbouring resort of Les Houches which sits in the Chamonix valley. In the summer months, you can take a leisurely stroll through the towns, stopping for a pain au chocolat and café au lait or be slightly more adventurous taking one of the many lifts up to the hiking, mountain biking, rock-climbing, via ferrata or even paragliding on offer at the top. Back down in the valley you can cool off white-water rafting or swimming in one of the beautiful (and often very fresh!) mountain lakes. St Gervais and Megève also both have fantastic swimming pool complexes open year-round with indoor and outdoor pools, perfect for topping-up your tan. This area offers amazing activities and facilities coupled with historic charm and natural beauty.
